We are excited to build community while we read! The read-a-thon is a fundraiser for Meeker PTO. The PTO provides money for books, classroom supplies, field trips, fun events at school, and more.

Forms and packets will go home on Thursday November 14. They are due back on Thursday December 12th. Donations can be made by cash (awesome), check payable to Meeker PTO (awesome too), or online. When donating online, please indicate your student’s name and teacher in the notes section.

You can support Meeker School and the PTO by helping your student reach out to friends and family and ask for donations. We’ve made it easy. With every dollar donated, your student’s class promises one minute of reading! Our school goal is to raise $10,000. We’ve provided a script for the students to read or send to family and friends.

On Monday December 16, READ-A-THON 2024 begins! Classes will read as much as they can and earn prizes throughout the week. They can read or be read to at home for extra minutes, too! Students will keep track of their individual reading with stamps on a minutes chart. As they read their promised minutes and fill up their class READ-O-METER, they will celebrate with prizes and an extra recess! We’ll also celebrate with theme days.
